Meeting agenda was passed out and the discussion started with the fall training which will be held at the Overland Park Fire Training Center October 15th, 16th and 17th.

Board members will start finalizing the training lineup and getting the registration posted as soon as possible.  The tentative schedule for the training is as follows

a. Allison- 2 days
b. Whelen- 2 days
c. Tire maintenance certification- 2 1/2 days
d. Pierce PUC- 2 days ?
e. B-C alternator- 1/2 day Thursday
f. Weis Draft Commander 3000- 1/2 day Thursday
g. Brian Richey computer diagnostics- 1/2 day Thursday ?

Bill Hills discussed the fall training sponsors.   The companies of Cross Midwest Tire and Tire Centers have been contacted and ask to sponsor due to the increased cost of training material for the Tire Maintenance Certification Class.

It was also discussed about asking Conrad Fire to again sponsor the EVT of the Year Award.  Bill will follow up with them to see if there still willing to do that.

Discussion then took place regarding the future trainings and having Spartan do their training in the Overland Park area to try and reach new technicians with the high quality training that Spartan provides.   The board voted unanimously to move the spring training back to Overland Park since Spartan is only able to teach these classes in the spring for us.  The fall conflicts with their national conference.  It was voted on and approved to have the fall 2013 and the spring 2014 training in Overland Park.  The Board would look into another area in mid to eastern Missouri for the fall 2014 training, Byron Long was going to check with Fire Agencies close to his area that might be able to host the training and provide us with an area for hands on training.   Bill Hills said he would get with Gary at Spartan and lock in the date for the spring training.

The Board voted on the EVT of the Year and the recipient of this award will be announced at the October Fall Training.

Steve Stewart said we broke even on the spring training and we have $1900 in the checking account.  Our savings is good and at a point to where we do not have to pay the $10 month fee for the statements.   Steve has also renewed the State Not for Profit filings and all of the IRS renewals are up to date.

At this time, Bill Hills turned over meeting to the new Board.   No other discussions took place and the meeting was adjourned at 12:30am.
